I decided it was high time I did some decent renders of some of my older models , so tonight all threads you see marked as 'Clay Render Night' were setup and rendered in a single night from 7pm to 11pm from older models.(..as I'm an impatient sort of bloke lol.)

I've done a few differnt tetures for this one, but it always looks better as a plane clay render....although no doubt one day insperation will strike ;)

I did do a real time version with a lava texture and emmisive bits etc..but totally lost the detail as a result and couldn't bare myself to use it lol. If I come accross any I'll add some.

this texture rocks:) i think it looses some detail of the model tho...impportant detail. nevertheless, i love this:) i think that the texture/detail problem would go away in a scene...pick the glove Wayne:) make scene for us :D

Real time game res screenshot (done a couple of nights back)
Thats all the ones that I can find at the moment... personaly the green is nice but doens't fit teh character...the lava does but loses too much detail.

Looks quite good :).
The green is a cool texture, i agree with the characteristic part.
Lava: You should enhance the normal a bit, just use multiply layers in photoshop ;), then you would have that detail again :).

Best way to do it is to duplicate the normal layer and then set the top layer to overlay then merge. You can then use the nvidia plugin to renormalise you map. :)
