Hey everyone,

I just wanted to post a collage image of several of the characters I've modeled in Maya and Mudbox. They are characters from a script I've written that I'm getting ready to shop around. My friend is a veteran Disney animator and he's upgrading my concept art, which I then model in 3D. We're looking for either studio interest or investors. I'll post a link once the website to promote the project is live. (Should be about two weeks.)

In the meantime, any crits are most welcome.

kool little characters, how much of them did ya do in mudbox? Just a general note tho, on the T-pose's, i would generally model all characters with palms down, because its the natural resting pose when the arms are by the side. thats just what ive been taught, im sure ppl learn different ways, but we do that in production too.

anyway, look forward to your link. nice work man.

Thanks for the tip. I'll be sure to keep that in mind for future models.

The base models for these characters were done in maya. I'll typically make a low res for the general shape with decent topology, and then bring it to mud, subdivide once and then push pixels till I get the shape down better. Once I'm happy with that shape I'll start subdividing further. Other than that basic shape in Maya, the rest is done in Mudbox with some image adjustment when I port between photoshop and Mud for the paint layers. I do use UVLayout by headus for the uv's.
