I'm about to purchase my 1st tablet and am opting for the Genius G-Pen M712.All the reviews[that i've read] give it the thumbs up and it does appear very tempting at such a reasonable price.I have no interest in a Wacom as the drawing real estate to pricetag ratio is too great.(although i would if i was a more affluent individual ;) )

However,my only concern is the lack of tilt angle sensitivety in the cheaper tablets.Any opinions on this from the seasoned tablet-eers residing on the hub?
Is it an essential requirement for sculpting/painting? Or would it really infringe on a smooth workflow?

cheers.

Personally, for what little sculpting ive done, tilts not been used at all.... not sure if it can? am sure others will say if it can. It does have its uses in photoshop, most day to day stuff i wouldnt use it.. but ive seen speed painters who use it all day long lol.... so really depends on what ya duin.

My cheapy graphire wacom doesnt have it... and the only thing i would like it for is for in photoshop is for a few occasional things - but that doesnt warrent the upgrade so far.

Ive had other cheaper tablets before and i must admit if it takes a battery in the pen its just to much hastle... the wacom is just ready to go all the time. However, i know some people that get one well with them so its personal taste.
