Hello everyone...

I was asked to build a red coral for a documentary film and so, i used Mudbox.
It's my first sculpt with it and I know it's not much, but well... i had to start from somewhere...
I used Mudbox for the main body and LightWave for the rest. The polypods are instanced geometry.

Also, here (http://www.sub-pixel.com/Corals/Coral-Low.mov) you can find a test loop-able sequence of the complete red coral (QT mov, 5mb)...

Thanks....

I used photo references taken from the documentary supervisor...
Most of them came from on-line search; it's easy to find, as Red Coral animals are almost extinct now and exist mostly in photos... and jewelery...
