Posting some old models until I have some new stuff to show.

This is a another rough concept sculpt made in Mudbox 2.

Made a simple base mesh in max, sculpted all the detail in mudbox 2 (the final mesh is 16 million tris), then back to max to be rendered in Brazil 2.0.

Depicts a predatory creature who glides in the thick gas filled atmosphere of an alien planet, much like how a sting ray would glide in our earth's oceans.

Here's a few different views of the model.

Nice one neil I always like dhti one.

If you upload your videos to vimeo youtube etc...you can just paste the url and it will add it automatically oto the board. (Plus it might save you a bit of bandwidth in the long run mate.)

I've always avoided doing this because I don't want the video to be compressed and the details to fall out. Or has it been your experience that you can get something as detailed as this onto youtube without tons of artifacting?

To be honest vimeo is the way to go as the compression is pretty damn good, in fact I'm using it for the quicsktart series on the main site. Plus it supports HD footage as well. Youtube does do HD now but its just not the same quality at all. I'd say give vimeo a test run and see what you think of it.
