Love that texture work. It wouldn't be out of place in mud 2009 now. :) Those eyes freak me out for some reason though.

Classic image. I love the lighting and that strong shadow sets it off perfectly. Very impressive work.

Ya, this was and still is a great model. I especially loved all the WIP images leading up to the final design.

I think I missed those, any chance of you reporting a couple of them for future users? I know a great many will be interested in seeing its creation.

Sure thing!, this is the basic evo of the design, from a rough sketch from I think the cube or something, to the final design with some texture variations. you know looking back at this I lost some of the form flow from the ears to the bottom of the gills that was roughed out in the original sketch : \

some Texture variations.

This site is kinda restrictive, seems like 128k is pretty small when trying to post stuff, I guess Jpeg is the best bet with a compression setting around 7-8, but even then there is stuff I can see wanting to post that is larger so you can see all the detail etc. . .

I really like the brownish/redish one

Also the flesh around the eyes is great

I'll see if I can up the user quotas a bit, although your best bet really is to link from a site hosting images if your able to. Thanks for posting the works in progress images I know a lot of users will find them useful.

I love the texturing in this, particular the stripes on the shoulders and the scars.
