View Full Version : Baking Displacements from other than Level 0...

Hello...

I have a model with 8 subdivision levels...
How can i bake a displacement from, say, level 4 instead of 0?
That's because i want to use the level 4 as my base object for displacement in my rendering app and not the level 0 base mesh. I have re-created the UVs for level 4...

Export LV 4 mesh with reconstructed UV's

reimport into scene and bake your maps from the level 4 mehs wiht your high res mesh as the source of your details.
