I'm doing some hard surface modeling and I was wondering if there was a way to subdivide an object w/ out smoothing it.
Thanks,
Jeff

Yes there is...
Next to the subvide menu item is a box icon that opens the options for subdivision. Simply turn out smooth and away you go. It then simply tesselates your model instead of classice subdivision.

Is there a way of seeing both sides of a polygon. For example I've got a room which is just a box w/ the front faces removed. I've inverted the normals so I just see inside. It's a little clumsy modeling this way so I was wondering if there was a way of seeing both sides, the inside and the outside. Does that make sense?
Right mouse button click on an empty part of your viewport, than chose 'show both sides'.
