This is something I'm working on. Inspired by a dutch movie called Kaniman. Good flick. The ear needs some serious work.I've never been good with ears...c&c welcome.
Great start, you mean people actually watch Dutch movies/cinematography lol, since most (not all) of the stuff the movie industry over here in the Netherlands churns out is cinematic garbage IMHO, as opposed to Hollywood and even independent filmmakers/directors. As for some crits, the eyes could use some work, especially the eyebrow region, good job on the cheeckbones, proportionally the ear reaches from the top of the eyebrow to the tip of the nose in lenght, the width of the nose is basically the same as the width of 1 eye.
The profile of the nose and mouth could be revised, the nasolabial fold could be straightened up and moved up a bit higher close to the top of the nostrils, looking at the jawline the shape of the skull could be pulled back a bit, as you've mentioned previously the ears are still wip, the neck could use a hint of sternocleidomastoid and the chin to neck transition could be defined some more as well, otherwise great start, looking forward to updates.

Sorry for the late response. Work has allowed less fun sculpting time.
Ha, I'm the opposite. I think everything in Hollywood is garbage. I much prefer foreign movies that,to me, are more humanistic.
thanks a lot for the crits. A lot of things aren't obvious until someone points them out with some fresh eyes.
Here's the reference for the sculpt. Ill go back and fix some things.

The Mouth and eyes seem a bit hard edged to me, the eyes need more of a sense of thickness where they meet the eye ball. The ears will need some more attention as well. But I like the sense of weight he's got at this stage, and should't take to much to bring this together. :)
