hi i have a fundamental question concerning normalmaps

initially i had a problem, baking a wooden sculpted cupboard to lowpoly geometry.
everytime the normals just bend crazy around flat faces.

so the essence of this question is, how can i bake round corners onto a low poly box in tangent space..

This is due to rays missing the corners, also a good reason why you shold add a bevel on edges such as that. Its a common problem that happens due to the way surface normal and the rays casted works in all apps.

thank you wayne.
hoped to get around it without bevel.

btw. the 3dsmax baker handels it without a problem, as i now found out!
