About 1 hour for me (2nd mudbox attempt). Working on just getting the feel for MB. Shortcuts etc..
Not happy with ears and it just doesn't feel right. Could use a lot of work on the textures on mouth piece and nose. But, it was after midnight and just relaxing. What the hell is wrong with the forehead! :)

The forehead feels a bit short. Try adjusting that and maybe it will work better. I think as a general guideline, in my unexperienced opinion, if the forehead is not vertically taller, that missing mass must be shifted to another dimension on the skull's bone structure.

Thanks for the comment.
I'll take a look, not really sure how to put in the volume you suggest.

I guess with the volume, perhaps you could add some size to the rear portion of the head or near the crown- either one currently seems a bit imbalanced. That's kind of what I originally intended to say.

Did a quick low poly in Silo, then brought to mudbox. Had to scale the OBJ up in mudbox.
Practicing modeling/sculpting something besides creatures. 20 minutes to make.

I'm with Wayne- we can all make heads. Let's try some genre changes.

And good on you for the brickwork. It looks solid and like it has real weight.

Thanks for the comments. Greatly appreciated.
Here's my super hi-poly mesh!
Whew...lots of detail in that mesh.

Messing around with this one..more of a WIP..
Really need to learn anatomy better. Back of head is pretty messed up but I'm liking the way it's coming along.

Cleaned it up a bit (still has anatomy issues) but wanted to texture and combine with previous sketch model.
Crits and comments welcome.

Here is the creature before being brought into Cinema4D.

Nice!
Is it just a simple rig?
mdillender

Yep, just a down and dirty rig in Cinema4D. IK for the general pose, then FK to tweak and bend fingers.
Thanks for comment.

Ah.
What are forums for if not commenting and discussing ;).

Was looking for a movie to watch the other day and watched Ogre. Man, that was not done very well (the integration).
So...thought I'd bang out a quick sculpt of a troll type creature.
That is some BAD hair!
