Hi everyone.

Been quite inactive these past few months. But here I am again.

Thought I'd start my sketchbook with this one.
Sat a while making him. Tried larger forms, fattening it up a bit.
Eyes are just placeholders right now...

In the black and white one I had AO turned on. Gave a nice effect . The two other pictures are just to show the real model.

Thats a very nice effect! It reminds me of a brush and ink painting I did back in 1993 of Harry Houdini. :)

Haha, cool :).
Thanks for the comment :)
It's just the litsphere called "graphic" with AO ;).
(one of the textures that came with mudbox)

Would you care showing it?
(If you still have it)

Its hanging on my wall (and a print at my parents) so I'll take a pic soon as I can get the kids to sleep lol. I rarely show my trad art stuff... ;)

Nice one! It's as old as me, hehe.
It had really harsh contrasts which gave a nice look. And the high amount of black is also nice.
Have you been into that style a lot before?

Yeah I did a shed load of brush and inks years back around that time (all but 3 got burned by an angry ex....along with all my trad clay sculpts at the time.....long story.)

Did you use it the traditional way, "rasping" a stick of ink and then mix the substance with water?

To bad your work was vandalized ;(.
You really do have a harsh story to tell Wayne. But it seems you have much happier days in front of you now, with the new kid and all ;).

Are you still into the clay stuff?

Oh trust me you have no idea...people would't belive the life I've had....if I put it into a book peolpe would say its too far fetched lol. Not that many years ago I was homeless on the streets.... so I'm proud that I've came all this way from literally nothing and not one penny in my pocket.

I was doing a clay sculpt today..or at least trying to..while my 4 year old son made a volcano (and the mess from hell!) next to me. :) My clay stuff I keep offline as my own personal 'thing' to relax from the usual 3d riots lol.

Note to self: water based clay and kids do not mix.

Yeah I heard that about the streets. You should be really proud of your achievement!

Kids with anything waterbased usually makes an enormous mess ;). But they do have fun though
