Due to a hardware failure I necer got to finsh the main 2nd day sculpt for my classes in Rotterdamn last week. Here's what it would have looked like. Polycount is 1.9 million polys based on a tri / quad combo base mesh.

'Back in the day' when I started I came up with a load of ways to save polys and still produce detail due to having the worst machine in 3d at the time (a duron 800 with 512 mb ram lol). So I thought it was about time to dust off those skills. Plus I've gone as far as you can with speed sculpting.

All sculpting ..and no bump maps etc...
Enjoy

I really like all the skin folds and subtle muscle definition you gave your character. The slight change in proportion and posture gives the character a lot of personality.

It was the gcard in the machine that was put together for me...new card...just went 'poof' on me about hour and a half fomr the endof the last session.

nice character , qusetion for you about his pose: Did you pose him sort of back leaning with arms like that for a particular rigging or other technical reason, or is it purely for artistic reason?

I ask because I see people doing a similar pose now and then and I'm not experienced enough to know if this is due to a technical design concern or a look & feel that people like?

thanks and keep up the good work

To be honest ..both reasons. Although I am planning on (eventually when I can drag myself to do it) animate this character. So I personally find this pose better to rig from..although it also gives the sculpt a better sense of weight and balance as well.
