Hey there!
After trying around a lot on spheres and cubes I finally started my first character-head. I watched a lot of video tutorials (especially by Wayne Robson, which led me to this board) and read a lot about Mudbox and modelling in general.
It is not finished yet and I didn't put too much time in designing the character because I'am working basically on it to develop my own workflow, which is best for me and try to improve my speed, because I'am very slow (this stage took me 4-5 hours, mainly because I tried out a lot).
The reason for posting this here is a question for the further work: If you get to a point in sculpting, where you are satisfied with the forms but feel there is not enough detail, what are you doing? Yeah, I know: add some more detail ;). But the point is: I don't want him to look old and so I don't want to add too much wrinkles and stuff, which makes him looking more like grandpa than a warrior. So before adding the skin detail with stamps and so on I would like to give him some more. Is splitting the main forms to some smaller parts a common way to achieve this?
And please give me some critic on the design/sculpt, so maybe I can learn something of it ;). There are still some areas I'am not totally satisfied with, like the ears or the nose – I will spend some more time on them.
Thank you for your help/tips!
