Well here it is guys the final render frrom the 'LIVE in Berlin' DVD this is from the section I've nicknamed 'captains log...additional'. Its some extra vids that go more in depth than time allowed in germany and this is the final result.

Dont ask me when its out as all you'll get for an answer is 'soon' I never give release dates till the day of release. Wayne's #1 rule. A lot of people have asked me for the complete Mudbox >> 3ds Max pipeline and something more advanced than you usually see...this is certainly that. I can also reveal that the production values have stepped up again since wave 1...big time. ;)

Put it this way....if it was needed for that image...this dvd covers it. All maps, sculpting, max pipeline, render settings, post work the whole shebang. The only thing that isn't on the dvd is the creation of the base mesh and anyone who knows the low poly bases I use will know anyone can make one easily with no more than a few days poly experience.

Yep I used mental ray as my render engine as usual..or 'crazy bob' as I prefer to call it. lol

Yeah old "crazy Bob" can be an odd fellow at the best of times. The workflow aspects of your DvD sound very interesting indeed. Look forward to checking it out mate.

What a neat piece. Looks like a sentient race of dinosaurs :D
I'm not wild about the sandy-grit texture around the lips, though.

Crazy Bob ain't so bad, but like Maya, it's something you have to get intimate with before it starts to make any sense.

Really like the surface texture you got going on in this one. It really looks like you could really touch it. I feel like I know what it would feel like.

Probaby the nicest thing anyones said of a render..thanks. :) If it feels like you can touch it then thats good enough for me. :) He may be seeing some naimation at some point for a german company... bt can't say anything more until /unless it all comes off.
