Hello Mud peeps,
I have a question. I have a mesh created in Mudbox 1.0 I wanted to paint in 2009 (see attached) http://. I exported it as an obj from 1.0. Imported it and started painting 2009 SP1. All was well until I saved the file. Now, the file won't open. I've tried:
Opening the file by double clicking
Opening the file in the dialouge box
Opening the file via the file menu
Importing the file in to a fresh scene
Restarting and trying the above with max memory.
My specs:
Mudbox 2009 SP1
Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1
Intel core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz
4 Gigs
Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance, here is an in-prog image.

Thanks. I saw this thread on The Area, and I thought it seems SP2 is coming and may help. Anyone know when this might happen?

Not mud 1 files but currupt files yes so far non have refused to open. Mud 1 files can't be opened in mud2k9 due to a completely different load of code for a new way to handle the subdivision. Thats the pure and simple reason why there is no backwards compatibility to mud 1....
